"Reporting Bias"
Fischer, P. E., and R. E. Verrecchia, 2000,
“Reporting Bias,”Accounting Review 75, 229 - 245.
Fischer and Verrecchia (2000),
looks at the optimal disclosure to the capital market
from the perspective of the firms listed in the
stock market - i.e., the preparers of financial
statements - and analyzes the extent of reporting bias.
Accordingly, this article offers a theoretical framework
to analyze the capital market effects of
creative accounting practice.
実証論文における計量経済学では三大バイアス
- 「Sample selection bias」
- 「Omitted-variable bias」
- 「Endogeneity bias」
との闘いがメインになる。
バイアスをどうやって除去するか、は非常にテクニカルな問題だが、バイアスの存在自体を無視して分析を行うような真似は厳かに慎まれるべきであろう。
